Candy Crush Saga is a rehash of the game of connecting 3 or more similar objects horizontally or vertically in a line to remove them. There are variations on winning conditions of a board; either on points, item cleared, or within a certain time limit, etc.

There are special candy that allows you to clear more candies on the board. For example, a Wrapped Candy when connected will explode and take out its neighboring candies. A Striped candy when connected will clear a row or column of candies. There are special combinations where if you connect a Wrapped Candy with a Striped Candy, you clear 3 horizontal rows or 3 vertical columns of candies.
